Haunt Hunter was created in 1 week for the LA Creator Society “Creator Jam”. We applied with our desired position and were randomly placed onto a team to create a film based on the theme of “New Beginnings”.
While initially brought on strictly as a composer, I soon took on storyboard and animation duties. I storyboarded and animated about half of the film and composed half of the music. Creating a film from inception to completion in just one week was tough but I appreciated the challenge.

Groundskeep is a Zelda-style grass cutting game I am currently developing for the original Gameboy hardware. While the animated portraits utilize my traditional animation skills, the project includes many firsts and challenges for me.
I designed all the characters with their 16×16 px sprite limitations, I’ve learned basic code and solved problems with bugs and hardware limitations, and I’ve developed the main gameplay loop.

I was brought on early to Standing By which gave me the opportunity to use my experience from my previous Bento shows to build new systems from the ground up. I developed bespoke Shotgrid filters, trackers, and artist tools. One particular photoshop action utilized code to, with a single click, save a new asset file, version up and adjust the asset’s name and date to be current.
The show was unfortunately cancelled after the 2023 WGA strike and never aired.

I am animating various shots for the in development film “Pyro Pup”, created by Waymond Singleton. I previously worked with Waymond as a volunteer editor for the Black n’ Animated podcast. Waymond assigns and delivers shots that include boards and notes and I make sure the characters are on model and and rough in-betweens frames.

Created in one month for the Open Animation “Make A Film” Festival, I created this musical short with voice actor Anthea Greco. We wrote the story and song lyrics together and worked over the 2020 holiday season to finish it in the timeframe.
While Anthea voiced the characters and did sound design, I composed the music, designed the characters, boarded and animated the short. This also included tracking shots for timely completion, making it a cross between directing and producing.

The second short film created by Anthea Greco and I, I went for a heavily stylized approach. I wanted the look of ink on thick orange paper. We made this over the course of a few months.

The 2D Animation Production Studio film at Columbia College Chicago in 2015. I co-directed this film with Aaron Ray over the course of a school year with a team of other Columbia seniors. Under the supervision of industry veteran Ron Fleischer, we pitched ideas and designs before eventually setting ourselves on creating Facebeard.
I storyboarded the final scene of the film and animated various shots. Using After Effects, I composited scenes and then edited them together in Sony Vegas. In addition to visuals, I worked with Aaron and our producer Val Patrone on directing voice over. I also supervised the musical direction for the middle of the film.

Design Coordinator
My focus on Grimsburg was coordinating BW designs for characters and props. As a “case-a-week” show, every episode features a multitude of new designs that were needed. I broke down scripts, assigned tasks to artists, took notes from directors, and relayed those back to the artists. The position required tracking of assignments and reallocating work as needed to make biweekly shipping deadlines. When an episodes designs were done, I packaged them and shipped them to our animation studio.

My focus on Duncanville was in the general design department. I began working as a general assistant which included broader tasks such as building and sending birthday cards to team members, as well as assisting in note taking, shot linking and breaking down shots from scripts, storyboards and animatics.
I moved into a position focused on color designs. This continued some of the same tasks while also beginning to communicate directly with the color artists. One particular duty required downloading 50+ BW designs with their attached color reference, organizing them, and packaging them for a color artist. Rather than downloading and sorting one by one, I developed a system to batch download every file and then create the appropriate folders, organizing the files and duplicating reference as needed. This took the task from a full day, down to roughly 30 minutes to complete.
